Not everybody should know why their laptop is not working as it’s designed to. We do not expect you to tell us what is wrong with it. It’s our job! We like to call ourselves a “one stop laptop shop”. We carry out a range of repairs. Here are the most common:

There is no laptop that we could not repair. However sometimes it’s not economically viable. If that’s the case we will advise you on the matter to make sure you are 100% satisfied.

Laptop health check-up / MOT / Scheduled Maintenance

Have you noticed that your once fast as a race car laptop is slowly becoming a tow truck? Is it taking ages to boot up or open a website? This is completely normal. Over the time your bellowed piece of tech is collecting a variety of things which it shouldn’t. We call it a digital rubbish. Every time you use the computer or surfing Internet your browser is automatically collecting information which are indeed useless to you. This information is being used to track your online activities. Getting rid of this mess will significantly improve efficiency of your machine.  We will bring your laptop to the “just taken out of the box for the first time” state. All aspects affecting its performance will be checked and maintained. Apart of the digital rubbish your laptop also collects a physical dust from the air. There is a fan inside which is designed to cool it down. While working it sucks the air in with the dust. Unfortunately, the dust is deposited on the heat sink and significantly diminishes cooling efficiency .

This requires a physical intervention into the computer’s guts. The dust must be removed and new thermal paste applied. All of this is necessary at least once a year to assure your satisfied with your piece of hardware. You want your PC looked at by a pro as you would with your car hence MOT.

Upgrades

You may not realise but the machine in your possession could do better still since the motherboard can often support more than standard memory it was originally sold with or larger storage space. Over time your work equipment may have acquired signs of wear and tear that bother you (scratches, worn keys, loose usbs etc.) that we will eliminate. If your battery does not perform as it used to we’ll also sort it out too as well as any display issues that you may find annoying (dead pixels, discolouration, cracks, scratches)

Software data recovery

Data recovery is a very delicate and complex matter. Since the reason for data loss may vary from a trivial system error to fatal physical damage to your equipment. We will recover what is recoverable using our high-end software tools and advise a specialist if more advanced approach is required.

Purchase of Old / Broken Laptops

Should we find your laptop beyond repair or too expensive to repair or simply you have one which is not needed any more we’ll offer to buy it for spare parts. In many cases it may be more beneficial to you to get your hands on a brand-new piece of hardware with full warranty and since your satisfaction is paramount to us, we’ll advise you to go for that instead of spending unreasonable amount of your hard earn money to reinvigorate your PC.
